Sensex down 200pts; BHEL, Satyam up 3%

The Sensex is now down 200 points at 17,573.

Reliance Energy has slumped 4.5% to Rs 1,383. ACC and Tata Steel have plunged around 4% each to Rs 1,128 and Rs 801, respectively.

ONGC, NTPC and Dr.Reddy's have slipped around 3.5% each to Rs 932, Rs 207 and Rs 631, respectively.

Ranbaxy, Hindalco, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra are down over 3% each to Rs 419, Rs 164, Rs 756 and Rs 729, respectively.

BHEL has surged 3.3% to Rs 2,225. Satyam has rallied nearly 3% to Rs 457.

TCS, Wipro and HDFC Bank have advanced 1.3% eacj to Rs 1,084, Rs 467 and Rs 1,418, respectively.

Out of 2,635 stocks traded so far, 2,105 have declined, 489 have advanced and 41 are unchanged.
