Sensex down 202pts; Bharti slips 5%

The Sensex opened with a negative gap of 359 points at 19,365, and soon slipped to a low of 19,256. The index is now down 202 points at 19,522.

Bharti Airtel has plunged over 5% to Rs 893. ICICI Bank has shed 2.6% to Rs 1,265.

ONGC and Hindalco have dropped around 2% each to Rs 1,300 and Rs 184, respectively.

Maruti and HDFC have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 987 and Rs 2,658, respectively.

Wipro, ACC, Mahindra & Mahindra and Reliance are down 1% each at Rs 493, Rs 1,040, Rs 757 and Rs 2,645, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has moved up 1.6% to Rs 4,499.
