Sensex down 205pts; BHEL drops 5%

The Sensex is now down 205 points at 15,628.

The NSE Nifty is down 46 points at 4,746.

BHEL has plunged 4.7% to Rs 1,673. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has tumbled 3.5% to Rs 2,749.

Maruti and Mahindra & Mahindra have slipped nearly 3% each to Rs 766 and Rs 626, respectively. Infosys has shed 2.5% at Rs 1,484.

HDFC, Reliance Energy and HDFC Bank have dropped 2.3% each to Rs 2,387, Rs 1,163 and Rs 1,297, respectively.

ICICI Bank and Tata Motors have declined over 2% each to Rs 771 and Rs 616, respectively.

Wipro and Jaiprakash Associates are down 1.7% each at Rs 428 and Rs 229, respectively.

Ranbaxy has soared 4.4% to Rs 466. Tata Steel has moved up 1.7% to Rs 671.

Hindustan Unilever is up 1.3% at Rs 246.
