Sensex down 205pts; L&T, BHEL drop

The Sensex is now down 205 points at 15,590.

Ambuja Cements has slumped 6% to Rs 126. ACC has plunged 4.5% to Rs 1,068, and Grasim has shed 2.5% to Rs 2,946.

Satyam has tumbled over 5% to Rs 491. Larsen & Toubro has dropped 4.5% to Rs 2,549.

Bajaj Auto and BHEL have slipped around 4% each to Rs 2,350 and Rs 1,765, respectively.

Tata Motors and Reliance Communications have shed 2.7% each to Rs 728 and Rs 562, respectively.

SBI, Tata Steel and Mahindra & Mahindra are down around 2% each.

ITC has zoomed over 8% to Rs 165. NTPC has surged 2% to Rs 167, ONGC has gained 1% at Rs 924.

Out of 2,626 stocks traded so far, 1,905 have declined, 672 have advanced and 49 are unchanged.
