Sensex down 205pts; TCS slips 2%

The Sensex is now down 205 points at 20,522.

Bharti Airtel has slumped 5.5% to Rs 858. ICICI Bank has plunged 3.3% to Rs 1,363.

Mahindra & Mahindra has dropped 2.3% to Rs 738. Ranbaxy and TCS have shed 1.7% each at Rs 392 and Rs 945, respectively.

ITC, BHEL and Larsen & Toubro have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 221, Rs 2,437 and Rs 4,107,  respectively.

Infosys, Hindalco and Ambuja Cements are down over 1% each to Rs 1,511, Rs 200 and Rs 137, respectively.

Maruti and Tata Steel have surged over 2% each to Rs 873 and Rs 858, respectively.

Out of 2,857 stocks traded so far, 1,422 have declined, 1,394 have advanced and 41 are unchanged.
