Sensex down 206pts; HDFC sheds 4%

The Sensex is now down 206 points at 13,885.

SBI has shed 7% to Rs 1,093. HDFC Bank has dropped 5% to Rs 1,019, and ICICI Bank has plunged 4.5% to Rs 912.

Maruti has slipped over 5% to Rs 845, and HDFC has slumped nearly 4% to Rs 1,657.

Tata Motors and Grasim have dropped around 3% each to Rs 838 and Rs 2,670, respectively. Bajaj Auto is down over 2% to Rs 2,980.

Hindalco has gained 1.7% at Rs 144. Wipro is up over 1% at Rs 645.

Out of 2,420 stocks traded so far, 1,721 have declined, 651 have advanced and 48 are unchanged.
