Sensex down 20pts; HDFC, Satyam shine

The Sensex has slipped back in the negative zone and is now down 20 points at 10,273.

Ranbaxy, HDFC and Satyam have gained 2% each to Rs 327, Rs 1,104 and Rs 696, respectively.

HLL, Wipro, ONGC, Infosys and Bharti Airtel have added 1.5% each to Rs 234, Rs 484, Rs 1,044, Rs 1,629 and Rs 359, respectively.

Tata Steel, Maruti, Grasim, SBI and Gujarat Ambuja have slipped over 1% each to Rs 487, Rs 745, Rs 1,923, Rs 700 and Rs 103, respectively.

The market breadth is negative - out of 1,799 stocks traded so far, 1,086 have declined, 659 have advanced and 54 are unchanged today.
