Sensex down 20pts; Ranbaxy, RIL firm

The Sensex is now down 20 points at 14,382.

ONGC has shed 2% to Rs 888. Maruti, Grasim and Reliance Communications have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 899, Rs 2,610 and Rs 456, respectively.

HDFC has dropped 1.3% to Rs 1,670. Tata Motors is down over 1% to Rs 858.

Ranbaxy has surged 2% to Rs 399. Reliance has spurted over 1% to Rs 1,435.

Out of 2,508 stocks traded, 1,619 have declined, 833 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
