Sensex down 22pts; market breadth weak

The Sensex is now down 22 points at 10,487.

Bharti Airtel has surged 2.5% to Rs 380. Hero Honda, Wipro and TCS are up around 1.5% each at Rs 762, Rs 477 and Rs 1,773, respectively.

HDFC, ONGC, Infosys and Dr.Reddy's are up over 1% each at Rs 1,177, Rs 1,105, Rs 3,139 and Rs 1,313, respectively.

ICICI Bank has dropped 2.5% to Rs 488. HLL has shed 2% to Rs 233, and ITC is down almost 2% at Rs 172.

Tata Steel, Bajaj Auto, Reliance Energy and HDFC Bank are the other prominent losers.

The market breadth is extremely weak - out of 1,905 stocks traded so far, 1,252 have declined, 603 have advanced and 50 are unchanged.
