The Sensex has recovered partially from the day's low of 14,761, and is now down 230 points at 14,863. Technology stocks led by Infosys are leading the recovery.
DLF has slumped 6.6% to Rs 512, and Reliance Infrastructure has tumbled nearly 6% to Rs 1,005. Jaiprakash Associates has shed 4.7% at Rs 178.
HDFC and SBI have plunged 4.6% to Rs 2,302 and Rs 1,484, respectively. ICICI Bank has slipped over 4% to Rs 681, and HDFC Bank has shed 3.7% at Rs 1,172.
BHEL has dropped 4.3% to Rs 1,710, and Larsen & Toubro has tumbled 3.5% to Rs 2,698.
ACC has declined nearly 3% to Rs 610. Maruti has dropped 2.5% to Rs 654.
Mahindra & Mahindra, Reliance Communicaitons and Hindustan Unilever are down 2% each at Rs 582, Rs 431 and Rs 239, respectively.

On the other hand, Infosys has surged 3.5% to Rs 1,682, and Satyam has advanced nearly 2% to Rs 414.
Tata Steel and Sterlite are up 1.5% each at Rs 620 and Rs 622, respectively.
The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 2,524 stocks traded so far, 1,687 have declined, 760 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
