Sensex down 234pts; Hero Honda, ONGC up

The Sensex is now down 234 points at 10,624.

Reliance Communications (RCL) has plunged nearly 5% to Rs 256. Hindalco has dropped 4.5% to Rs 174.

Satyam and Tata Motors have declined 3.5% each to Rs 720 and Rs 742, respectively.

Maruti and Grasim are down over 3% each at Rs 788 and Rs 1,977, respectively.

Hero Honda has gained 1% at Rs 717, and ONGC is up 0.5% at Rs 1,121.

Out of 2,086 stocks traded so far, 1,357 have declined, 661 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
