Sensex down 237pts; RCoVL, HDFC drop 4%

The Sensex touched a low of 9508 - down 351 points from the day's high of 9859. The index is now down 237 points at 9573.

Tata Steel has slipped over 5% to Rs 432. Grasim is down nearly 5% at Rs 1,689.

Reliance Communication Ventures (RCoVL) and HDFC have dropped 4% each to Rs 212 and Rs 1,159, respectively.

HLL has shed 3.5% to Rs 201.

SBI, Maruti and Dr.Reddy's are the only gainers among the index stocks.

Out of 2,151 stocks traded so far, 1,511 have declined, 593 have advanced and 47 are unchanged.
