Sensex down 238pts; ONGC, SBI weak

The Sensex is now down 238 points at 19,052.

Bharti Airtel has plunged over 4% to Rs 863. ONGC, HDFC Bank and SBI have dropped around 3.5% each to Rs 1,242, Rs 1,562 and Rs 2,191, respectively.

Wipro and ICICI Bank have tumbled 3% each to Rs 463 and Rs 1,169, respectively.

Reliance Communications has slipped over 2% to Rs 711.

Grasim and BHEL have shed 1.6% each to Rs 3,550 and Rs 2,776, respectively.

Infosys and Tata Steel are down 1.4% each at Rs 1,719 and Rs 848, respectively.

ACC has soared 3% to Rs 1,060. Reliance Energy has advanced 1.5% to Rs 1,846.

Hindustan Unilever, Hindalco and HDFC have rallied around 1% each to Rs 195, Rs 191 and Rs 2,595, respectively.

Out of 2,693 stocks traded so far, 1,585 have declined, 1,038 have advanced and 70 are unchanged.
