Sensex down 23pts; Grasim, Guj Amb move up

The Sensex is now down 23 points at 12,251.

Grasim and Gujarat Ambuja have surged 1.7% each to Rs 2,514 and Rs 118, respectively.

HDFC and Hindalco have advanced 1.5% each to Rs 1,430 and Rs 173, respectively. ACC is up 1% at Rs 979.

HDFC Bank, BHEL, Tata Steel and Hero Honda are the other notable gainers.

Satyam has slipped 1.6% to Rs 846, and ICICI Bank has declined 1.2% to Rs 656.

Tata Motors, HLL, Reliance Communications and TCS are the prominent losers.
