Sensex down 23pts; REL gains 3%

The Sensex is now down 23 points at 14,620.

Reliance Energy has surged nearly 3% to Rs 575.

HDFC Bank and ICICI Bank have advanced over 1% each to Rs 1,114 and Rs 994, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has slipped nearly 2% to Rs 3,025. Hindalco has dropped 1.5% to Rs 179.

HDFC and Larsen & Toubro are down around 1% each at Rs 1,775 and Rs 1,727, respectively.
