Sensex down 240pts; Ranbaxy, REL move up

The Sensex is now down 240 points at 19,460.

HDFC Bank has plunged 2.6% to Rs 1,604. ICICI Bank and DLF have dropped 2% each to Rs 1,294 and Rs 1,064,  respectively.

BHEL and Satyam have shed 1.8% each at Rs 2,307 and Rs 366, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, HDFC and Reliance have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 4,015, Rs 2,807 and Rs 2,952, respectively.

ONGC and Wipro are down over 1% each at Rs 1,235 and Rs 455, respectively.

Ranbaxy and Reliance Energy (REL) have advanced 1.7% each to Rs 374 and Rs 2,250, respectively.

Ambuja Cements, ACC and Grasim are up over 1% each at Rs 132, Rs 870 and Rs 3,340, respectively.
