Sensex down 24pts; ITC gains 4%

The NSE Nifty is down a points at 4,874.

ITC has surged 4.2% to Rs 214, and Wipro has gained over 3% to Rs 493.

Cipla has advanced 2.7% to Rs 204, while Reliance Infrastructure has added 2.5% to Rs 1,280.

Satyam is trading at Rs 494 - up 2.4%.

Reliance Communications and BHEL have moved up 2% each to Rs 555 and Rs 1,690, respectively.

Ambuja Cements has gained 1,7% to Rs 98. DLF is up 1.3% at Rs 609.

NTPC and Jaiprakash Associates are up  1.2% each to Rs 178 and Rs 227, respectively.

SBI and HDFC have plunged 2.4% each to Rs 1,499 and Rs 2,511, respectively.

 

HDFC Bank has shed 1.4% at Rs 1,328, and ICICI Bank has dropped over 1% to Rs 817.

ONGC has declined 0.8% to Rs 889.

Tata Motors and Tata Steel have slipped 0.6% each to Rs 620 and Rs 870, respectively.
