Sensex down 257pts; ICICI Bank down 3.4%

The Sensex  is now down 209 points to 17,033 points. The Nifty is trading at 5059 points, down 58 points.

TCS has gained 0 .9% at Rs 975, and Satyam has advanced 0.5% to Rs 495.  Cipla and Infosys have advanced marginally.

Tata Motors has lost 4.1% to Rs 660. ICICI Bank has declined 3% at Rs 883.

Reliance Infra is down 2.8% to Rs 1,338. HDFC,  HDFC Bank and M&M are down 2.2% at Rs 1,382, Rs 2,629and Rs 652 respectively.

Reliance Communications and  Jaiprakash Associates have lost 2% at Rs 591 and Rs 247.

L&T, Maruti, Hindalco, Grasim, Bhel, NTPC and DLF are the major losers.
