Sensex down 265pts; ITC, SBI shine

The Sensex is now down 265 points at 19,460.

Bharti Airtel has slumped over 6% to Rs 884.

HDFC has plunged nearly 3% to Rs 2,620, and Wipro has shed 2.7% to Rs 486.

ACC and ICICI Bank have slipped over 2% each to Rs 1,030 and Rs 1,271, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Reliance Energy and BHEL have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 4,359, Rs 1,741 and Rs 2,622, respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra, Hindalco, ONGC, Ranbaxy and Bajaj Auto are down over 1% each.

ITC has surged 2.6% to Rs 176, and SBI has gained 2.3% at Rs 2,118.

Maruti has rallied 1.8% to Rs 1,022.

Out of 2,608 stocks traded so far, 1,530 have declined, 1,014 have advanced and 64 are unchanged.
