Sensex down 26pts; market breadth very weak

The Sensex is now down 26 points at 11,681.

Ranbaxy, Dr.Reddy's and HDFC have advanced 1% each to Rs 400, Rs 719 and Rs 1,303, respectively.

Satyam, Grasim, Tata Motors and Wipro are also holding smart gains.

NTPC and Reliance Communications have declined almost 2% each to Rs 125 and Rs 303, respectively. Tata Steel has slipped 1.7% to Rs 508.

Reliance Energy and Gujarat Ambuja are down 1% each at Rs 444 and Rs 114, respectively.

The market breadth is extremely negative - out of 2,248 stocks traded so far, 1,394 have declined, 777 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
