Sensex down 26pts; tech stocks weak

The Sensex is consolidating its position after the early volatility and is now down 26 points at 9622.

Technology stocks are under selling pressure. Satyam has slipped 2% to Rs 751. TCS at Rs 1,727 and Wipro at Rs 475 are down 1% each. Infosys, however, is unchanged at Rs 3,051.

ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, ITC and Reliance Energy are also trading in negative territory.

SBI has moved up 2.2% to Rs 938. Grasim, Maruti, Bajaj Auto and Hero Honda are holding gains in excess of 1% each.

Out of 2,529 stocks traded so far, 1,028 stocks have advanced, 1,457 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
