Sensex down 273pts; L&T drops 5%

 Jaiprakash Associates has slipped 2.5% to Rs 226. Infosys, Tata Steel and TCS have declined around 2% each at Rs 1,461, Rs 666 and Rs 883, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, NTPC and ICICI Bank are down 1.7% each at Rs 804, Rs 187 and Rs 796, respectively.

DLF has gained 2% at Rs 631.
