Sensex down 27pts; Bharti, HDFC Bank weak

The Sensex is now down 27 points at 14,156.

Satyam has shed nearly 4% to Rs 469. Ranbaxy has slipped 2% to Rs 406.

Reliance Energy, HDFC Bank and Bharti Airtel have dropped around 1.3% each to Rs 508, Rs 1,052 and Rs 674, respectively.

Gujarat Ambuja and ICICI Bank are down 1% each at Rs 147 and Rs 976, respectively.

BHEL has gained 1.3% to Rs 2,300. Infosys has advanced over 1% to Rs 2,230.

Out of 2,584 stocks traded so far, 1,389 have advanced, 1,139 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
