Sensex down 27pts; breadth -ve

The Sensex is now down 27 points at 14,226.

Satyam and Infosys have slipped 2% each to Rs 468 and Rs 2,322, respectively.

Ranbaxy and Reliance Communications have dropped around 1.5% each to Rs 390 and Rs 446, respectively.

Grasim, Wipro, ACC, Cipla and BHEL are down over 1% each to Rs 2,539, Rs 657, Rs 1,002, Rs 252 and Rs 2,336, respectively.

HDFC has moved up 1.3% to Rs 1,675. Bharti Airtel and Tata Steel are up around 1% each at Rs 799 and Rs 448, respectively.

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,108 stocks traded so far, 1,134 have declined, 903 have advanced and 71 were unchanged.
