Sensex down 27pts; cements stocks surge

The Sensex is now down 27 to 14,983.

Technology stocks are witnessing selling pressure following a downward revision in earnings gudiance for FY08 by Infosys.

Infosys and TCS have shed 3% each to Rs 1,958 and Rs 1,151, respectively. Satyam has dropped 2.3% to Rs 486, and Wipro has slipped over 1% to Rs 515.

Tata Motors is down over 1% at Rs 736.

ACC has soared 3.5% to Rs 1,073. Grasim has surged over 2% to Rs 2,784, and Ambuja Cements has gained 1.8% at Rs 133.

Reliance Energy has rallied 1.8% to Rs 624. Hindalco is up 1% at Rs 156.
