Sensex down 27pts; Tata Motors up 2%

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 39 points at 10,465. The index touched a high of 10,475, and then slipped into negative zone. The index touched a low of 10,363, and is now down 27 points at 10,389.

Tata Motors has rallied 2% to Rs 716. Gujarat Ambuja, Grasim and ITC are the other prominent gainers.

HDFC Bank has slipped 1% to Rs 756. Satyam, ICICI Bank, SBI, Larsen & Toubro, HDFC, HLL and NTPC are the other prominent losers.
