Sensex down 29pts; Satyam spurts 1%

The Sensex is now down 29 points at 13,908.

Reliance Energy (REL) has shed 2.5% to Rs 539. ITC and Dr.Reddy's are down 1.3% each to Rs 188 and Rs 756, respectively.

Cipla, Reliance Communications, Gujarat Ambuja, ACC, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors and Tata Steel are down over 1% each at Rs 250, Rs 453, Rs 140, Rs 1,152, Rs 632, Rs 874 and Rs 488, respectively.

Satyam and Hindalco have advanced 1.3% each to Rs 467 and Rs 178, respectively.

Ranbaxy and TCS are up nearly 1% each at Rs 389 and Rs 1,199, respectively.

Out of 2,579 stocks traded so far, 1,693 have declined, 819 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
