Sensex down 29pts; Tata Motors rallies 3%

The Sensex is now down 29 points at 9856.

Tata Motors has rallied 3% to Rs 748. Hindalco has surged 2.5% to Rs 160.

Cipla, Maruti and Grasim have gained 2% each to Rs 215, Rs 742 and Rs 1,790, respectively.

Tata Steel has moved up 1.6% to Rs 469. ACC has spurted 1.4% to Rs 743.

Reliance and Reliance Communication Ventures are up 1% each at Rs 929 and Rs 224, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro has dropped 2.7% to Rs 2,057. SBI has declined 2% to Rs 753.

Wipro and TCS have slipped over 1.5% each to Rs 433 and Rs 1,662, respectively.

Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank, Satyam and ITC are down over 1% each at Rs 362, Rs 500, Rs 664 and Rs 162, respectively.

The market is positive - out of 2,044 stocks traded so far, 1,108 have advanced, 870 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
