Sensex down 300pts; SBI, TCS move up

The Sensex is now down 300 points at 14,838.

Reliance Communications and Hindalco have shed around 3.5% to Rs 528 and Rs 157, respectively.

ICICI Bank, Larsen & Toubro and Maruti have tumbled around 3% each to Rs 886, Rs 2,444 and Rs 825, respectively.

Wipro, ACC, BHEL, HDFC, Hindustan Unilever and HDFC Bank have dropped around 2.5% each to Rs 458, Rs 978, Rs 1,677, Rs 1,940, Rs 200 and Rs 1,125, respectively.

Infosys, Grasim, Satyam and Ambuja Cements have slipped around 2% each to Rs 1,876, Rs 2,894, Rs 462 and Rs 127, respectively.

TCS has moved up 1.4% to Rs 1,112. SBI and Ranbaxy are up around 1% each at Rs 1,655 and Rs 370, respectively.

Out of 2,587 stocks traded so far, 1,553 have declined, 974 have advanced and 60 are unchanged.
