Sensex down 310pts; Tata Steel drops 5%

The Sensex is now down 310 points at 10,103.

Tata Steel, Hindalco and Tata Motors have shed around 5% each to Rs 505, Rs 164 and Rs 738, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and HDFC have dropped 4.5% each to Rs 2,080 and Rs 1,054, respectively.

Satyam and ONGC have declined over 4% each to Rs 676 and Rs 1,068, respectively.

Out of 2,433 stocks traded so far, 1,969 have declined, 431 have advanced and 33 are unchanged.
