Sensex down 312pts; Cipla, ITC up 2%

The Sensex is now down 312 points at 19,719.

Bharti Airtel has plunged 4.8% to Rs 907, and ONGC has tumbled over 4% to Rs 1,188.

Hindalco and HDFC Bank have shed 3.7% each to Rs 205 and Rs 1,666, respectively.

Tata Motors has slipped 3.4% to Rs 719. NTPC and TCS have dropped 2.5% each to Rs 240 and Rs 1,018, respectively.

Cipla and ITC have gained 2% each at Rs 214 and Rs 204, respectively. Hindustan Unilever is up 1% at Rs 219.

Out of 2,910 stocks traded so far, 1,949 have advanced, 933 have declined and 28 are unchanged.
