Sensex down 31pts; Rel Comm, NTPC slip 2%

The Sensex is now down 31 points at 11,675.

Dr.Reddy's, Ranbaxy and HDFC have advanced 1% each to Rs 720, Rs 400 and Rs 1,303, respectively.

Tata Motors and Wipro are the other significant gainers.

Reliance Communications and NTPC have drpped 2% each to Rs 303 and Rs 125, respectively. Tata Steel has shed 1.7% to Rs 508.

Reliance Energy has declined 1.4% to Rs 442. Gujarat Ambuja and Bharti Airtel are down 1% each at Rs 114 and Rs 411, respectively.

Out of 2,335 stocks traded so far, 1,448 have declined, 812 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
