The Sensex is now down 31 points at 9,685. NSE Nifty is now down 14 points at 2,966.
Sterlite has plunged 2.4% to Rs 265, and HDFC has declined 2.2% to Rs 1,529. ICICI Bank has slipped 2.1% at Rs 458.
Maruti has lost nearly 2% at Rs 518. Reliance Infrastructure is down 1.7% at Rs 585.
Wipro and Reliance has dropped 1.3% each to Rs 235 and Rs 1,249, respectively.
Satyam has surged nearly 6% to Rs 170. Tata Motors and Hindalco have gained 2.2% each at Rs 159 and Rs 51, respectively.
Tata Steel has advanced 1.6% to Rs 215. Ranbaxy has gained 1.3% to Rs 242.
Jaiprakash Associates and ACC have added around 1% each to Rs 84 and Rs 477, respectively.
