Sensex down 32pts; ITC, NTPC firm

The Sensex is now down 32 points at 15,558.

ITC has soared 3% to Rs 183. NTPC has surged 2% to Rs 191.

Ambuja Cements has gained 1.5% at Rs 142. Reliance and Reliance Energy have moved up 1.3% each to Rs 1,988 and Rs 862, respectively.

Ranbaxy and Bajaj Auto are up 1% each at Rs 414 and Rs 2,346, respectively.

ONGC has shed 2.5% at Rs 829.

Wipro and TCS have dropped 2% each to Rs 468 and Rs 1,056, respectively. Satyam has slipped 1.7% to Rs 442, and Infosys has declined 1.5% to Rs 1,881.

ICICI Bank, Hindalco, HDFC Bank and Hindustan Unilever are down over 1% each at Rs 908, Rs 155, Rs 1,183 and Rs 212, respectively.

Out of 2,671 stocks traded so far, 1,576 have advanced, 1,033 have declined and 62 are unchanged.
