Sensex down 32pts; L&T surges 2%

The Sensex is now down 32 points at 11,901.

Larsen & Toubro has surged 2% to Rs 2,608. Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors and BHEL have advanced 1% each to Rs 431, Rs 893 and Rs 2,288, respectively.

HLL is up nearly 1% at Rs 241.

HDFC Bank has slipped 1.5% to Rs 849. HDFC and Wipro are down 1% each at Rs 1,298 and Rs 517, respectively.

Satyam, ICICI Bank, Hero Honda, ONGC, TCS, Infosys and Gujarat Ambuja are the notable losers.
