Sensex down 32pts; Ranbaxy spurts over 3%

The Sensex opened almost flat at 9584. After touching a high of 9600, the index slipped into the negative zone to a low of 9535 - down 65 points from the high.

The index is now down 32 points at 9551.

Ranbaxy is the major gainer, and the stock has surged over 3% to Rs 391.

Infosys and Hindalco have slipped over 1% each. HLL, HDFC and Reliance are also in red.
