Sensex down 33 pts, Infosys slips further

After slipping into the red in early trades and displaying a range-bound trend thereafter in the first half, the Sensex in current trades has scaled down 33 points to 6,345 on fresh selling in techs and other select old economy stocks. The Nifty, too, has extended its losses by 11 points to 1,961.

Infosys has edged lower by 1.12% (Rs 22) to Rs 1,966. While Wipro has declined 1.35% (Rs 9) to Rs 642, Satyam has lost 1.23% (Rs 5) to Rs 418.

ONGC and Reliance are still down a per cent each at Rs 853 (down Rs 9) and Rs 542 (down Rs 4), respectively. ITC and HLL are still trading with steady gains at Rs 1,389 and Rs 135, respectively.

ICICI Bank has declined 1.31% (Rs 5) to Rs 402. HDFC Bank has inched lower by a per cent (Rs 3) to Rs 537. SBI, however, is trading with steady gains at Rs 628 - up Rs 4.

L&T has slumped 2.23% (Rs 22) to Rs 974, and Tisco is down a rupee at Rs 362.

Bajaj has bounced back into the green with a per cent gain (Rs 8) at Rs 1,083. While Hero Honda is up a notch at Rs 507, Tata Motors is trading lower by 1.26% (Rs 6) at Rs 439.

Dr. Reddy's is up a per cent (Rs 7) at Rs 667. While Ranbaxy is up Rs 2 at Rs 918, Cipla is still trading on a flat note at Rs 244.

BHEL has moved up 1.25% (Rs 10) to Rs 823.
