Sensex down 33pts; breadth marginally -ve

The Sensex is now down 33 points to 16,315.

Grasim, Reliance Energy and Bharti Airtel has soared 2.3% each to Rs 3,453, Rs 1,010 and Rs 911, respectively.

Reliance Communications has advanced 1.5% to Rs 575. Ambuja Cements and Maruti have gained 1.3% each at Rs 148 and Rs 922, respectively.

ACC and SBI are up 1% each at Rs 1,149 and Rs 1,775, respectively.

Satyam and ITC have plunged around 3% each to Rs 408 and Rs 188, respectively.

TCS and Infosys have shed 2% each to Rs 982 and Rs 1,766, respectively.

Cipla has dropped 1.5% to Rs 167. Ranbaxy and HDFC have slipped 1.3% each to Rs 402 and Rs 2,310, respectively.

Wipro and HDFC Bank are down 1% each at Rs 429 and Rs 1,312, respectively.

The market breadth is marginally negative - out of 2,694 stocks traded so far, 1,431 have declined, 1,194 have advanced and 69 are unchanged.
