Sensex down 33pts; breadth turns negative

The Sensex is now down 33 points at 13,673.

BHEL, Larsen & Toubro and NTPC have surged over 2% each to Rs 2,520, Rs 1,403 and Rs 143, respectively.

Bajaj Auto has gained 1.8% at Rs 2,643. HDFC Bank has added 1.5% to Rs 1,093.

Grasim and HDFC are up 1% each at Rs 2,702 and Rs 1,648, respectively.

Satyam has dropped 3.5% to Rs 461. Bharti Airtel has slipped 2.3% to Rs 623.

Reliance Energy, ONGC and HLL have shed 1.3% each to Rs 545, Rs 846 and Rs 242, respectively. ITC is down 1% at Rs 180.

The market breadth has turned negative - out of 2,567 stocks traded so far, 1,283 have advanced, 1,209 have declined and 75 are unchanged.
