Sensex down 347pts; Bharti up 3%

The Sensex is now down 347 points at 19,629.

ICICI Bank and ONGC have slumped 4.4% each to Rs 1,272 and Rs 1,307, respectively.

HDFC Bank has plunged 3.5% to Rs 1,697. Infosys and Reliance have dropped over 2.5% each to Rs 1,855 and Rs 2,643, respectively.

Tata Motors, Grasim, Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC and Maruti have slipped around 2% each to Rs 739, Rs 3,670, Rs 741, Rs 2,602 and Rs 1,002, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and Satyam have shed 1.8% each at Rs 4,379 and Rs 454, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has surged 2.7% to Rs 919. Cipla has moved up 1.4% to Rs 176. SBI has advanced 1% to Rs 2,274.

Out of 2,756 stocks traded so far, 1,441 have advanced, 1,257 have declined and 58 are unchanged.
