Sensex down 348pts; Infosys slips 3%

The Sensex is now down 348 points at 19,628.

ONGC has plunged 4.8% to Rs 1,301, and ICICI Bank has slumped 4.4% to Rs 1,272.

Infosys, Maruti and HDFC Bank have slipped 3% each to Rs 1,850, Rs 990 and Rs 1,708, respectively.

Tata Motors has shed 2.4% at Rs 737. ITC, Reliance and Grasim have dropped around 2% each to Rs 172, Rs 2,653 and Rs 3,675, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and HDFC have slipped 1.8% each to Rs 4,380 and Rs 2,605, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's, Satyam, Bajaj Auto, ACC, TCS and Mahindra & Mahindra are the other major losers.

Bharti Airtel has surged 3% to Rs 922. SBI has rallied 1.6% to Rs 2,288, and Cipla has gained 1.4% at Rs 176.

Out of 2,761 stocks traded so far, 1,468 have advanced, 1,221 have declined and 72 are unchanged.
