Sensex down 34pts; SBI advances 2%

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 34 points at 19,599.

ACC has soared 4% to Rs 1,127. Tata Steel has surged 2.5% to Rs 884, and ITC has rallied over 2% to Rs 203.

SBI has advanced 1.7% to Rs 2,343, and ICICI Bank has added 1.4% to Rs 1,203.

Tata Motors and Reliance Communications are up over 1% at Rs 711 and Rs 719, respectively.

BHEL, DLF and Infosys have dropped nearly 2% each to Rs 2,730, Rs 930 and Rs 1,590, respectively.

TCS, Wipro and HDFC have shed 1.5% each at Rs 973, Rs 451 and Rs 2,655, respectively.

Maruti has slipped 1% to Rs 1,042.

Out of 2,786 stocks traded so far, 1,935 have advanced, 797 have declined and 54 are unchanged.
