Sensex down 34pts; Tata Motors drops 4%

The Sensex is now down 34 points points 12,329.

Infosys has surged 3.3% to Rs 1,969. TCS has gained 3% at Rs 1,041. Satyam and Wipro are up 1.5% each at Rs 413 and Rs 528, respectively.

HDFC Bank has advanced 2% to Rs 958. HDFC has added 1.5% to 1,435.

Tata Motors has tumbled 3.6% to Rs 879. Gujarat Ambuja has shed 3% to Rs 120.

Hindalco and Ranbaxy have slipped 2.5% each to Rs 171 and Rs 413, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro, Maruti, ACC and Tata Steel are down 2% each at Rs 1,255, Rs 934, Rs 969 and Rs 508, respectively.

Out of 2,542 stocks traded so far, 1,726 have declined, 767 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
