Sensex down 350pts; Rel Infra drops 8%

The Sensex is now down 357 points at 9,068.

DLF has slumped nearly 13% to Rs 155, and Jaiprakash Associates has tumbled over 11% to Rs 68.

Reliance Infrastructure has plunged over 8% to Rs 535. HDFC and ICICI Bank have shed nearly 7% each at Rs 1,431 and Rs 388, respectively.

Hindalco has dropped over 6% to Rs 46. Wipro and Tata Steel have slipped nearly 6% each to Rs 218 and Rs 174, respectively.

Sterlite has declined over 5% to Rs 262. Tata Motors, HDFC Bank and SBI are down around 4.5% each at Rs 143, Rs 882 and Rs 1,100, respectively.

 

The market breadth is negative - out of 2,414 stocks traded so far, 1,413 have declined, 913 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
