Sensex down 358pts; ICICI Bank drops 5%

The Sensex is now down 358 points at 19,618.

ICICI Bank has slumped 5% to Rs 1,265. ONGC and HDFC Bank have plunged 4% each to Rs 1,310 and Rs 1,690, respectively.

Infosys has shed 2.8% at Rs 1,855. Grasim, Reliance Energy, Tata Motors and Satyam have dropped 2% each to Rs 3,670, Rs 1,815, Rs 740 and Rs 453, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's and Bajaj Auto have slipped 1.8% each to Rs 603 and Rs 2,380, respectively.

Maruti, Reliance and HDFC have declined 1.5% each to Rs 1,005, Rs 2,670 and Rs 2,615, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and Wipro are down 1.3% each at Rs 4,400 and Rs 485, respectively.

Bharti Airtel has surged 2.8% to Rs 920. Cipla and Ranbaxy have gained 1.5% each at Rs 176 and Rs 445, respectively.

NTPC and SBI are up 1% each at Rs 237 and Rs 2,273, respectively.

Out of 2,740 stocks traded so far, 1,433 have advanced, 1,252 have declined and 55 are unchanged.
