Sensex down 35pts; Auto, FMCG stocks weak

The Sensex is now down 35 points at 14,220.

Hero Honda, Bajaj Auto and HLL have tumbled 2% each to Rs 698, Rs 2,175 and Rs 191, respectively.

SBI and ITC have shed 1.7% each to Rs 1,364 and Rs 156, respectively.
ACC has slipped 1.4% to Rs 811. Tata Motors, HDFC Bank and HDFC are the other major losers.

Satyam has surged 2.5% to Rs 477, and Wipro has rallied 1.7% to Rs 541. Infosys and TCS are up 1% each at Rs 1,960 and Rs 1,210, respectively.

Reliance Communications has moved up 1.3% to Rs 522. Hindalco has spurted 1% to Rs 150.

Out of 2,485 stocks traded so far, 1,441 have declined, 953 have advanced and 91 are unchanged.
