Sensex down 35pts; breadth marginally -ve

The Sensex is now down 35 points at 17,791.

The NSE Nifty is down five points at 5,263.

Ambuja Cements has shed 2.6% at Rs 120. ACC and SBI have slipped 1.6% each to Rs 803 and Rs 2,048, respectively.

Reliance is down 1% at Rs 2,560.

Hindalco and Mahindra & Mahindra have surged 2.7% each to Rs 201 and Rs 676, respectively.

Cipla has gained 2% at Rs 206, and Reliance Communications has added 1% to Rs 591.

Out of 2,645 stocks traded so far, 1,479 have declined, 1,094  have advanced and 72 are unchanged.
