Sensex down 35pts; DLF sheds 2.2%

The Sensex is trading 35 points lower at 14,447. The Nifty is trading 2 points lower at 4,335.

DLF has plunged 2.2% to Rs 487. ICICI Bank and Tata Power have declined 1.5% each at Rs 657 and Rs 1,014, respectively

BHEL and HDFC Bank have slipped 1.2% each to Rs 1,700 and Rs 1,240, respectively.

Reliance Infrastructure and Reliance are down around 1% each to Rs 993 and Rs 2,160, respectively.

Reliance Communications, Ranbaxy, ITC and TCS are the other major losers.

On the other hand, Jaiprakash Associates has gained 1.7% to Rs 160.

Tata Steel has advanced 1.6% to Rs 587. Infosys and Wipro have added 1.2% each to Rs 1,718 and Rs 434, respectively.

 

Hindalco is up nearly 1% at Rs 137.

Out of 2,531 stocks traded so far, 1,216 have declined, 1,200 have advanced and 115 are unchanged.
