Sensex down 35pts; Tata Steel soars 4%

The Sensex is now down 35 points at 14,418.

Reliance Communications, ITC and Tata Motors have slipped around 1.5% each to Rs 515, Rs 168 and Rs 717, respectively.

ACC, SBI and ONGC are down over 1% each to Rs 880, Rs 1,309 and Rs 916, respectively.

Tata Steel has surged 4% to Rs 653. Reliance Energy and BHEL have rallied around 2% each to Rs 563 and Rs 2,725, respectively.

HLL has gained 1.5% at Rs 197. Hindalco and Hero Honda are up over 1% each at Rs 148 and Rs 695, respectively.

Out of 2,573 stocks traded so far, 1,392 have declined, 1,082 have advanced and 99 are unchanged.
