Sensex down 369pts; Rel Comm gains 3%

The Sensex is now down 369 points at 17,629.

Reliance Energy has slumped almost 15% to Rs 1,354. BHEL has plunged nearly 6% to Rs 2,054.

Hindalco has tumbled 5.4% to Rs 177. Bharti Airtel and Maruti have slipped 5% each to Rs 968 and Rs 1,091, respectively.

ACC has shed 4.7% to Rs 987. HDFC has dropped 5% to Rs 2,350.

Ambuja Cements has declined 3.6% to Rs 140, and Grasim is down over 3% at Rs 3,478.

Reliance Communications has rallied over 3% to Rs 734. Tata Steel has surged 2.5% to Rs 857.

Bajaj Auto has advanced 2.2% to Rs 2,515, and Infosys has added 1.4% to Rs 1,915.

Out of 2,701 stocks traded so far, 2,163 have declined, 497 have advanced and 41 are unchanged.
